A bit different view at this game as the huge majority.
Yep, the Greek team lost 2 games in a row and both at home. It happens
sometimes and the second loss was influenced by the 1st, no doubt.
They played 2 strong opponents (PSG becomming one as well lately) and
therefore no big fuss. I'm sure the fans wouldn't agree with me, but it doesn't
count here. AEK will have another chance today and I'm even more sure
about the fact they just won't let this game go and cause another disappointment
to their fans. They travel to Paris and imo we'll see a nice fight. At least they'll
defend more and better imo.
I saw many posts saying how important the domestic championship is to
the Greek team and they'll concentrate on that part of their playing... well
maybe, but then what about PSG?!
They are raising their form due to their recent results and I'm quite sure they'll
be much higher in the tables at the end of the French championship. But
presently they have to get away from the dangerous spots which are only
2! points behind them. So there's at least no difference among the teams
plans in the domestic leagues, even though I see a better position for the
Greek team, namely it would surely be much worse if PSG relegated than
AEK not reaching place 2!
The spot of this game also is backing my call, as the players of PSG see
themselves already a round further, as a 2-0 away win looks really great.
I know the statements are "We will play to win this", but the minds of the
players as well of the coach say "We are 2-0 ahed so even a 1 goal defeat is
OK" and even more so if they'll sense a hard game.
PSG are favourites after the away game, but there's no rush for them to win
this and the minds know that!
